The Sword of the Spirit

Main Preaching Service
Pastor Jun taught about the last piece of the armor from Ephesians 6:17. This preaching on The Spirit-Filled Warfare also asked us this question: How well can you handle the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT?

What is the Sword of the Spirit? It is the Word of God.

Why is it called the Sword of the Spirit?
1. It is a spiritual weapon.
2. Because of the author, the Holy Spirit.

“Word” means (in Greek):
1. Logos – totality of the Word of God
2. Rhema – utterance or particular statements

The Word of God is:
1. God-breathed
2. Infallible and inerrant
3. Authoritative
4. Complete and sufficient
5. Powerfully effective
6. Best source of life’s real blessings

How do we use it (Word of God) as a Defensive Weapon?
1. We must use it PRECISELY.
2. We must use it APPROPRIATELY.

How do we use it (The Word of God) as an Offensive Weapon?
1. We must proclaim it FAITHFULLY.
2. We must obey it CONSISTENTLY.
