Pastor Jun Oguilla’s message for the 54th Missions Conference.

He is the lead pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church – Villamonte.

HALF-A-CENTURY AND FOUR YEARS OF MISSIONARY CONFERENCES. An annual gathering of missionaries, pastors, church workers and members was started in 1965 by Pastor Samuel Irving Colinco, Sr., Maranatha Baptist Church founding pastor.

With a heart burning for missions, Pastor Colinco desired to raise missionaries out of the delegates attending the yearly event. Messages from his invited speakers challenged the attendees to respond to the call to go and reach the tribes with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

To name a few, Rogelio Tabujara, Romeo Tiangson and Alfonso Genovea, were the first ones to positively respond to the challenge. They trained at the New Tribes Missions School in Bataan to bring the Good News Of salvation to different tribal fields.

The rest is history.
